Windham Hill Inn
Extraordinary hotel in Townshend, Vermont.
Tucked away on 160 rolling acres in southern Vermont’s Green Mountains, Windham Hill Inn is a tranquil getaway for adults and children 12-years and older. Our country-chic accommodations, unparalleled service, and panoramic views of the West River Valley make this Vermont hotel the ultimate retreat throughout the year.
What was built as a private farmhouse in 1825 and converted to a bed and breakfast in 1962 is now an intimate, 22-room inn, brimming with rustic yet elegant New England character. Our uniquely designed rooms and suites are arranged in three buildings, the Main House, the White Barn, and the Cottage. Each captures the essence of Vermont country living with charming period antiques, Oriental rugs and furnishings handcrafted by local artisans.
Winner of the Wine Spectator “Best of Award of Excellence” for eight consecutive years, The Windham Hill Restaurant is acclaimed as one of Vermont’s finest eating establishments, serving contemporary presentations of classic New England and European cuisine highlighted by organic, locally sourced ingredients.
Our Inn is a place to disconnect from technology (there are no televisions in the rooms) and the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Whether you want to stay on property throughout your visit or explore our lush grounds, the inn is an oasis of luxury. We are a short drive from the Stratton Mountain and Mount Snow ski resorts and just forty minutes from the Designer Outlets and quintessential New England village of Manchester, Vermont.
When you stay with us, you'll discover the luxury of complete relaxation.
