Accommodations
- Rates are subject to change at any time
- All rooms have one bed. For additional persons, a rollaway bed/cot can be added to certain rooms for a fee of $35
- No additional charge for children under 10
- Damage to rooms will incur fees based on extent of damage.
Check-In & Check-Out
Check-in is available between 4:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
Check-out time is 11:00 AM.
Guests may arrive before 4:00 PM to drop off luggage or check in after 9:00 PM with
prior notice—please contact us in advance to make arrangements.Late check-outs after 12:30 PM may incur a $20 late check-out fee, subject to availability
Keys must be returned at checkout or left in the room. Lost keys will incur a $25 fee.
Reservation & Cancellations
Rebookings
- Guests may rebook their stay at no additional charge, provided the request is made at
least 24 hours prior to the original check in time. - Each reservation may be rebooked a maximum of (2) times.
- Rebooking is subject to availability and may be restricted during peak seasons.
- Rates may adjust when rebooking during peak season.
- Rebooked stays must occur within six (6) months of the original cancellation date.
- Rebooked stays are not eligible for refunds
Cancellation Refunds
- Cancellations made 14 days or more prior to the scheduled arrival date are eligible for a
full refund (30 days or more in peak/busy seasons). - Cancellations made between 14 and 3 days prior to arrival may be eligible for a partial
refund of up to 50% (between 30 and 7 days in peak/busy seasons). - Cancellations made less than 3 days prior to arrival are not eligible for a refund (7 days
in peak/busy seasons). - Cancellations made within 24 hours of booking may be eligible for a full refund, as
circumstances dictate. - No-shows are not eligible for refunds or rebooking.
Fees
- At this time, there are no fees for canceling a reservation.
- Rebooking the same reservation more than twice may result in a $50 fee.
Deposit & Payments
We accept the following methods of payment: Visa, Mastercard, American Express,
Discover, Debit cards and gift certificates issued by the Windham Hill Inn.Cash & Checks are not accepted at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience.
For all reservations, the full amount is charged at the time of booking.Security deposits or holds on credit cards may be required for incidentals
Deposits may be required instead of full payment for room blocks, group bookings, or
reservations at the Cottage.Deposit amounts may range from the cost of one night’s stay up to 50% of the total
reservation, depending on the nature and size of the booking.Deposits may be applied toward the final balance or, in the case of room blocks where
individual guests are responsible for their own charges, may be refundable.Refundable deposits will be returned between the time of check-out and up to 14 days
afterward. Please allow additional time for bank processing.Peak seasons include mid-September through mid-October and late January through early
March.All hotel fees incurred are subject to 9% room tax in accordance with Vermont state law.
Smoking
- All our rooms are non-smoking, as are all common areas, including around the building.
We can direct you to outdoor locations where you may smoke. - Smoking includes, tobacco, cannabis, as well as electronic vapes or e-cigarettes
- Candles, incense, and any open flames are also prohibited.
- Smoking in your room will result in a $200 cleaning charge.
Pool Policy
Rules and Hours
- For in house guests: 24/7
- For pool visitors with passes: 12:00 pm. – 5:30 pm.
- Children under 16 must be supervised
- No diving
- No glass in pool area
- No food, candy or drinks in the pool
- Swimwear must be worn
- Pool towels should remain on Inn property
- No pets allowed in pool
- Maximum people in pool: 30
Swim at Your Own Risk
For the safety and wellbeing of all our guests, Windham Hill Inn maintains the following policy regarding the use of our swimming area:
- No Lifeguard on Duty
Swimming facilities at the Windham Hill Inn are not supervised. Guests choosing to
swim do so at their own risk. The inn assumes no responsibilities for injuries, accidents,
or loss of personal property that may occur while using the swimming area. - Children Must be Supervised
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult
at all times while in or near the water. - Alcohol and Swimming
For your safety we strongly urge that you do not swim while under the influence of
alcohol or drugs. - Proper Swim Attire
Guests must wear appropriate swimwear while using the pool or swimming facilities - Health and Hygiene
Please refrain from using the swimming area if you are experiencing symptoms of illness
or have any open wounds. - By using the swimming facilities, guests acknowledge that they have read, understood,
and agreed to abide by this Swim at Your Own Risk Policy
Pet Policy
You agree to a pet occupancy fee of $50 per stay per pet.
- Arrival with a pet for a reservation in a non-pet friendly room will cause your booking to
be moved to one of our designated pet friendly rooms. If a pet friendly room is not
available, you will be subject to a $200.00 cleaning fee. - A maximum of two pets is allowed per room. Size restrictions may apply.
- Please ensure the good behavior of your pet. You are responsible for your pet’s actions at
all times while staying at the Inn. - You agree to pay for any damages to accommodations, furniture, amenities, public areas
(including landscaping) or guest property caused by your pet. These charges will be
applied to your credit card on-file with the Front Desk. These charges may be applied
after check-out if damages are not discovered beforehand. - Your pet must always be on a leash when in common areas and around buildings.
- You must clean up after your pet in your accommodations and in all public areas at the
Inn. - Pets are not allowed on any furniture.
- Pets are not allowed inside the conference room, or around the pool.
- Your pet should not be left unattended in your accommodations. Should you need to
leave your pet in your accommodations for a brief period, we prefer that you crate them. - If you are contacted regarding a disturbance under these circumstances, you must return
immediately to care for your pet. - If your pet has an accident or is sick within your accommodations, please notify us so
that we may supply you with proper products for cleaning. - If your pet is left unattended anywhere on the property and causes disturbances, you
hereby permit agents of the Windham Hill Inn to restrain your pet, or contract the proper
authorities (e.g. animal control) to do so. - The Windham Hill Inn reserves the right to insist that you remove your pet from the
property and place them at a kennel if your pet is creating disturbances or damage to
resort or guest property. - The Windham Hill Inn reserves the right to decline occupancy to any pet at any time.
- The Windham Hill Inn is not responsible for your pet if it is lost or injured while staying
at the resort.
Damage & Theft Policy
- Guests are held financially responsible for any damage, loss or excessive wear caused to
the inn’s property during their stay, whether in guest rooms or common areas. This
includes but is not limited to:- Furniture, fixtures, appliances, or electronics
- Bedding, linens, towels, or decorative items
- Windows, doors, walls or flooring
- Plumbing fixtures or HVAC systems
- In the event of damage, the guest’s registered payment method may be charged the full
cost of repairs, replacement, or additional cleaning, as deemed necessary by management. All items provided in guest rooms and public spaces-such as towels, robes, kitchenware,
glasses, artwork, or decor- are the property of the Windham Hill Inn and are intended for
use during your stay only.Removal of these items without authorization will be considered theft and may result in:
- A charge to the guest’s account for the full replacement value
- Potential legal action in cases of significant or intentional theft
- We appreciate honesty and ask that any items mistakenly taken be returned to us
promptly. - We understand that accidents can happen. Guests are encouraged to notify the innkeeper
or front desk immediately if an item is broken, stained or damaged during their stay.
Prompt communication allows to address the issue quickly and often prevents more
serious damage or costs. - Rooms requiring cleaning beyond normal housekeeping standards(eg., due to spills,
stains, pet related messes, or smoking violations) may incur an excessive cleaning fee of
up to $200 or more, depending on the extent of the issue. - While we take great care to provide a secure and respectful environment, the Windham
Hill Inn is not liable for lost, stolen or damaged personal belongings. Guests are advised
to secure valuables and never leave items unattended in public areas.
Guest Conduct Policy
At the Windham Hill Inn, we are committed to providing a peaceful, safe and enjoyable
experience for all our guests. To ensure the comfort, and well-being of everyone on our property we kindly ask that all guests adhere to the following conduct guidelines during their stay.
- Guests are expected to treat fellow guests, staff and the property with courtesy and
respect at all times. - Harassment, discrimination, or any form of threatening or disruptive behavior will not be
tolerated. - Guests are responsible for maintaining the condition of their rooms and any common
areas they use. - Any damage caused intentionally or due to negligence may result in additional charges.
- Engaging in illegal activities on inn property will result in immediate eviction without
refund. - The Windham Hill Inn reserves the right to refuse service or request the departure of any
guest who violates these policies, causes a disturbance, or poses a threat to the safety or
comfort of others.
Agreement to Policies
By confirming a reservation or occupying a guest room at the Windham Hill Inn, guests acknowledge and accept the terms of these policies. Charges for damages, theft, or excessive cleaning may be applied to the credit card on file with notice provided by management. We thank you for treating our property with care and consideration and for helping us maintain a welcoming environment for all who stay with us.
